Nick Stokes' one-act plays The Sound We Make and Whiteout will be produced by Probably Forgettable Productions in November 2009 with the support of a TAIP grant from the Tacoma Arts Commission. He was awarded the 2008 Camano Island Residency and a Grant for Artist Projects by Artist Trust for the development of his collection of plays within, without a skull. Other plays short and long, including the full-lengths The Last Night of Comedy, Dusk, and Duels, have been produced, commissioned, developed, and supported by Northwest Playwrights Alliance, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Last Frontier Theatre Conference, Charles Wright Academy, iDiOM Theater, Double Shot Festival, Seattle Cold Readers, and Richard Hugo House. His fiction and other writings have been published by Word Riot, Opium, KNOCK, and Exquisite Disarray Publishing, and he was co-winner of the 2008 Rannu Fund Prize for Writers of Speculative Literature.
